How the profile check works

  1. Reading

an AI model by Anthropic (Claude) transcribes your PDF into text – with sections, lists and tables, as for a profile uploaded with a subscription.

  2. Shortlist

Projectmatch collects the projects of freelance.de, gulp.de, freelancermap.de, projekt-pool.de and solcom.de every hour and knows the skills each one asks for. From the projects of the last two days the check picks the 20 whose skills your CV names most completely – rare skills count more than those nearly every listing demands.

  3. Scoring

for each of these projects the AI rates your profile skill by skill and assigns the match score. This takes about a minute; you can leave the page open meanwhile.

Per day, 3 profile checks per internet connection and 200 in total are possible. The result stays available under its address for 24 hours.

What the profile check shows

  • A match score per project: 0 to 100 points for how well your profile fits the listing – the same score Projectmatch shows subscribers for every new project. You see your 3 best matches; the subscription shows all of them.
  • Points per skill: for every required, nice-to-have or mentioned skill, how clearly your CV demonstrates it. Required skills weigh heavily, nice-to-have ones moderately, mentioned ones lightly.
  • Your skill gaps: the skills your best matches require or wish for but your CV hardly demonstrates (below 40 points), counted across all 20 scored projects. These are the skills that would match you to more projects – or that are merely missing from your CV although you have them.
  • The way to the listing: every match links the original listing on the project board.

Privacy: what happens to your CV

Your PDF is stored until reading begins and deleted right afterwards; a PDF that was never read is deleted after a day at the latest. The extracted text is transmitted for the evaluation to Anthropic PBC (USA), which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and does not use API inputs to train models; we do not store the text. Only the result is stored – the scored projects with their points, without your name and without your CV – under a random address for 24 hours. For the daily limit your IP address is hashed with a random value that changes daily and is deleted after two days. No account is created. We ask for an e-mail address only if you order the daily project match under the result; then, after your confirmation, we keep the address and the extracted CV text for 90 days and delete both when you unsubscribe. Details are in the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Which projects are checked?

All IT freelance projects Projectmatch found on the five project boards in the last two days whose skills have been extracted. How many that is, and how many of them name skills from your CV, is stated above your result.

Why do I see only 3 projects?

The AI scores 20 projects per check – every evaluation is an AI call of its own – and shows you the 3 best; the skill gaps count across all 20. All matches, day after day, come with the subscription, where Projectmatch matches every new project against your profile.

Why does a project fit worse than I thought?

The AI only rates what the CV says. A skill you have but do not name gets no points. The skill gaps therefore also show what is missing from your CV – not only what you could learn.

What happens to the result?

It stays available under its address for 24 hours and is then deleted. Whoever knows the address sees the scored projects and points, but not your CV.

What is the daily project match by e-mail?

Under the result you can leave your e-mail address. Then every evening at 18:00 (German time) we compare the day's new projects with your CV and send you the one that matches best – without an account, for 90 days, after you confirm your address, and you can unsubscribe at any time. With the subscription, by contrast, you see new matches at once and all of them, not just the best.

All matching projects, every day

The profile check is a sample: 20 scored projects, the 3 best shown, once. With Projectmatch the AI matches every new project of the five boards against your profile every hour, shows the best matches with their skill gaps first, writes an individual cover letter on request and applies in your name with one click. Free for 14 days, then €49 per month including VAT, cancellable monthly. Try it now – or browse the current projects first.

Method

Each project's skills are read from the listing text by an AI model when the project is collected and classified as required, nice to have or mentioned. The shortlist checks which of these skills the CV names as a word of its own and weighs each skill inversely to the number of projects demanding it; nice-to-have skills count half. The evaluation of the shortlisted projects runs with the same model and the same instruction as the matching with a subscription: a value from 0 to 100 per skill and a match score per project, required skills weighted heavily. A required or nice-to-have skill below 40 points counts as a gap. The figures are an estimate, not a decision: whether you fit a project is for you and the client to decide.
